ghostwriting masterclass from nonfiction book academy

If you’re looking to make more money with less work and less hassle, then you owe it to yourself to learn the art of ghostwriting nonfiction books.

There simply is no better vehicle for building a sustainable, fulfilling freelance writing career.

Hello, my friend!

I’m so excited that you’ve decided to learn more about the Ghostwriting Masterclass from The Nonfiction Book Academy.

It’s time to land your first (or next) book client and become a highly skilled, well-paid ghostwriter.

Here are all the details for you:

I’m bringing together a small group of talented freelance writers like you and showing them how to land their first (or next) book client at fees of $5,000 to $25,000 or more.

Without a website…

Without a social media following…

Even if you’ve never written a book before!

If you’re reading this letter right now, then you’ve met the criteria and I know you have what it takes to be successful.

The truth is that almost every business owner, thought leader, and expert I know wants to be an author. But they just don’t know how to make that dream a reality. Many of them try (sometimes for years), and in the end wind up looking for help.

Sometimes that help is in the form of coaching. But more often, they just want a skilled ghostwriter to do the heavy lifting for them. I graduated from journalism and copywriting to ghostwriting books about 10 years ago, and I can tell you there is nothing so fulfilling as helping someone share their message with the world.

But I can’t write them all! There are more than enough clients to go around. And I want more writers to learn this trade. Soooo….

I’m going to hand you my entire playbook for selling high-end book projects to business clients who will happily pay you up to 10X the fees you’re currently charging for lower-end projects.

Here’s what we’re looking at:

First time book projects typically run $5,000 to $10,000 for a short ebook.

Longer book projects easily run $25,000 to more than $85,000.

And here’s a little secret…

These books don’t have to take more than a few weeks to a few months to write–if you use the book development and client management skills I’m teaching in this program.

If you can write 2500 words a day, you’ll finish a 50,000 word book in 30 days—if you take the weekends off!

If you’re looking to make more money with less work and less hassle, then you owe it to yourself to learn the art of ghostwriting books.

There simply is no better vehicle for building a sustainable, fulfilling freelance writing career.

When I started out, I had a TON of questions…

  • Where are the clients?
  • How do you land them if you’ve never written a book before?
  • How much do you charge? And what about contracts?
  • How do you split up the payments? (Hint, the pros get paid before they write.)
  • How do you structure a book for a business client?
  • How do you get the content out of the client easily and quickly?
  • How do you write in the client’s voice?
  • How does the revision process work?
  • How do you present the final product?

I’ve been a professional writer for nearly 30 years now.

I’ve written $25 newspaper articles.

I’ve written $1000 sales pages.

And I’ve written books that brought in $75,000 each.

Guess which gigs I like best? 😎 ✍️

I’ve built my career on the strategies and frameworks I’m going to teach you.

It took me 30 years to figure them out.

You can learn them in 6 weeks.

Over the course of the program, I’m going to teach you how to handle a book project from start to finish. We’ll have a weekly 90-minute live class where you can ask questions, and then you’ll have a full 7 days to implement what you learn before the next class.

Oh! And I’ll teach you how to get clients in the very first class—so you could be making a profit before the program is even finished.

All sessions will be recorded so you have continued access to the information any time.

We’ll also have a student forum set up (no, it’s not a Facebook group!) so you can ask questions and get coaching from me throughout the course.

You’ll walk away knowing…

  • How to find your ideal clients
  • How to talk to them, vet them, and get them to hire you
  • How to navigate the entire book production process (including publishing), so you can be an expert guide for your clients
  • How to structure the book using the Nonfiction Book Academy’s signature book development process
  • How to manage the client to avoid any drama or friction points (so they hire you again and again)
  • How to bundle your project with other services so you are in a class by yourself (and command even higher fees)
  • How to write books that inspire, educate, and sell using the Nonfiction Book Academy’s proven writing system

PLUS I’m going to throw in our pricing models, proposal templates, and sample contracts. I paid an attorney $3000 for these–you get them FREE.

Of course, having all this knowledge does you absolutely no good if you don’t have the mindset and confidence to ask for those high-end fees. So, we’ll address that too.

YEAH BUT…(Got questions?)

Do I really not need a website or social media following?

Nope. I discovered this after wasting years screwing around with my website. I asked my clients what they thought of it, and guess what? They had never even seen it! That’s when I learned it’s a huge waste of time to futz around with marketing do-hickies when you could just be out there talking to people. Now, does it help to have a website? Sure. A little. But it’s not necessary.

What if I’ve never written a book before?

If you’re already a working writer, you’ve got what it takes. If you can string sentences together, you can write a book. It’s just more sentences than you’re used to. You’ll master the fastest, easiest way to structure the perfect book for your client. You’ll learn how to do book development and get them to supply all the content you need. This same process will revolutionize your article and content writing, as well. You’ll never run out of things to write about!

What if I don’t know how to get book clients?

We’ll teach you that in the very first session. You’ll be surprised to find that book clients are everywhere. They secretly desire to write a book, but they don’t know how and they don’t have time. Some of them have been trying and failing to write a book for years! Which is why they’ll pay big bucks to have a qualified ghostwriter take the wheel.

What if I don’t know how much to charge?

I’ll teach you in the first session as well. The standard per-word rates you can find online or in The Writer’s Market don’t really apply in the business book world, but they’re a good place to start at the low end. Often the ROI on a project is so high that it’s easy to command much higher fees. (One of my most successful ghostwriting projects helped the author build a $360 million dollar company! Another of my clients used the book I wrote for her to go from food stamps to $10 million in just 3 years!)

What if I’m not a fast writer?

You don’t have to be, as long as you’re diligent and make forward progress. We’ll teach you how to increase your speed by using the right structure, but also—YOU get to set the deadlines and parameters for the project. The client has NO IDEA how long it “should” take to write a book. They are looking for you to be the leader on this.

I’m too busy keeping my head above water with all my current work…how can I possibly break free long enough to learn a whole new method of writing?

Here’s the deal, if you don’t change your business model and add new skills, you’re never going to change your life.

You can put up with small, repetitive, boring client projects that take too much time and pay too little…

OR you can start 2021 right out of the gate with a quick $5,000 to $10,000 project.

(For those rates, the project should be under 20,000 words. That’s less than 1,000 words a day for 3 weeks and you’re finished with the first draft! If you write 1,000 words an hour like I do, that leaves you PLENTY of time for other projects and relaxing family time.)

You can start small and get your feet wet with a simple project first, and then progress as fast as you like. It’s up to you. But the VERY FIRST thing you’re going to learn is where the clients are and how to land those lucrative book projects.

And here’s another little insider tip for you—every author who gets one book always wants another one! I’m currently working on the 5th book for one of my favorite clients.

What if I can’t afford to take this course right now?

Hey, I get it. Everyone has priorities. In all honesty though, you can’t afford NOT to. Here’s why…

The freelance writing world is getting more and more crowded by the day. Unemployment is rampant right now and everyone with a keyboard and mouse wants to “try their hand” at writing for a living. That means those crowded gig sites are getting more competitive every single day and the average fees are going down.

NOW is the time to level up and start playing in the big leagues. The serious writers, the successful writers—they all had a moment of truth when they had to take a leap of faith and get the real-world training that would lead to their next level.

For me, that leap of faith was an in-person copywriting program. By the time I paid for a cross-country plane trip and 4 days in a hotel, I had invested more than $3000. I was a new mom. My husband worked hard so I could stay home and raise the kids. We didn’t have any extra money, and I certainly didn’t have the time to spend a week away from home. But we made it work. And it changed EVERYTHING.

I saw what was possible, and I had the confidence to step up and build a sustainable, profitable career.  I stopped being a side-gig freelancer writing $25 newspaper articles and became a highly sought after service provider. All because I took the leap of faith and believed in myself.

Best of all, I found a whole world of clients hidden in plain sight. People I really enjoyed being around. People who respected me and wanted to hear my ideas. My work went from tedious to fulfilling almost overnight.

And that $3000 I invested? I made it up with one client about a week after I got home. TOTALLY worth it!

At some point, you’re going to get sick and tired of working so hard and say, “WTF am I doing?! There has to be a better way.”

There is. And you already have everything you need to be successful. You just need a guide to show you the ropes.

  • You need to be a good writer who is always learning and improving.
  • You need to be motivated and able to finish what you start.
  • You need to be flexible and work with clients to meet their needs and deadlines.

All of that is GOOD NEWS because it means that this blue ocean isn’t about to bloody up anytime soon. These are all qualities that require a little extra work—which is why most people will keep slaving away trying to “get rich quick”.  Let them.

Seriously, you can sit back with confidence knowing you’ll have paying clients no matter what the economy is doing, no matter what crisis is swirling around the world in any particular year.

2020 was INSANE…

But my business hasn’t changed at all.

If anything, I’ve had MORE people asking to work with me. Too many, in fact.

I’ve had to turn some of them away because we’re scheduled out 8 months!

That’s what I want for you.

It’s what you deserve!

Peace of mind. Security. Fulfilling work. And projects that actually MEAN something.

What if I don’t have a niche or specialty?

That’s okay, neither do I. People told me I needed one, but I just keep getting clients. I was too busy to pick a niche. Just this year I’m working on a weight loss book, 2 books on video marketing, 2 books on real estate, and one textbook for future physical therapists.

You know how I can switch between so many different topics—WITHOUT knowing anything about real estate, weight loss, or physical therapy?

The magic is all in the structure and how we do book development. You’ll study that in depth in the Ghostwriting Masterclass. It doesn’t matter what market your client is serving, you’ll be able to write their book with confidence when you follow this method.

Which means you never get bored.

And you never have to write for anyone you don’t want to.

YOU choose your clients!

What happens after the masterclass is over?

My goal is for you to be busy writing your first client book!

And to help you out, I’m gifting you the full version of my $1500 Writing Masterclass FREE as a bonus to help you.

Oh, and you’ll get a Nonfiction Book Academy library card. So, once the class is over, you’ll be able to stay in touch with me and ask questions through our community events and additional free trainings.

What’s the investment?

I struggled with what to charge for this program because I KNOW how your life is going to change when you’re able to charge $25,000 to $75,000 for one project.

And I also know that your first book project may be a very simple one that you only charge $5,000 for and complete in a couple of weeks. (Seriously, would a quick 5 Grand be okay with you right now?)

And I wanted you to be able to make a profit just by enrolling in the course and implementing the lessons.

So, I’ve decided to make this a no-brainer and charge just $2500 for the entire class, plus I’m gifting you my Writing Masterclass ($1500 value)  and sample contracts ($3000 value).

That means you could double your money with your first client.

And my goal is for you to have that first client before the program finishes.

(I’m not legally allowed to guarantee that—but I’ll help you succeed any way I can.)

I’m in! How do I reserve a spot in the program?

Please NOTE:

This program is LIMITED TO 25 STUDENTS…

I can only work with a small number of students at a time in order to keep a high level of personal attention from me. I’m determined to put some amazing ghostwriters out into the world.

So don’t put this off. If you’re in, you’re in.

I’m SO excited for the possibilities ahead for you.

This is going to change EVERYTHING!

Until soon, I believe in you!

P.S. This program won’t be offered again until October 2021. Time is something you can’t get back. If you wait, how many projects will you be losing? How much income does that represent for this year? (You could be losing $50,000 or more just by waiting until the end of the year!)

Don’t put it off until later. Your future is waiting.

What Our Students Are Saying

Landed my first client...a WEEK BEFORE the course even started!

I have always enjoyed writing. I journal regularly, submit small articles to papers and magazines, and write blogs and bios for clients. The thought never crossed my mind that I could actually make a decent living writing full time…

Then I met Julie at a networking event designed for rural and remote workers.

While the intention of the event was to network, hearing Julie talk about her work as a writer had me intrigued. Her passion for it was contagious and I just had to know more!

It didn’t take much more than a 30 minute Zoom call to have me convinced to enrol in her Ghostwriting Masterclass. My worry was not that I didn’t have the skills to write a book but was that I simply didn’t know anyone who could afford to have one written.

I am so proud to say that, with some very energetic coaching, I have officially landed my first client… A WEEK BEFORE I ACTUALLY START THE COURSE!

I took Julie's master class because she's living what she teaches, and is helping others do the same.

A few weeks ago I told you I joined Julie Eason’s Ghostwriting Masterclass.

BOY is it incredible, particularly her methodology for writing amazing books you’re proud to have your name on and offer to your prospects.

The author psychology’s pretty fascinating as well.

Eighty percent of people believe they have a book in them, but they aren’t sure how to get their thoughts out of their head and into book form.

Some people figure it out themselves. Some people turn to a ghostwriter.

And some people don’t do either, so their book never makes it into the world.

I took Julie’s master class because she’s living what she teaches, and is helping others do the same.

I also took it because it’s another way to use one of my gifts – writing – to bring more hope and healing into the world.

And, it’s another way for me to create freedom for the kind of lifestyle I want.

One of the things I love about Julie’s master class is that she’s showing us how to be more than a writer. We can also guide our clients through the entire book publishing process – or at the very least, steer them toward people who can help them take the manuscript and get it into the world as a book.

We can be invested in the book’s success, not just invested in finishing a manuscript.

Pretty dang cool. I’ve worked with clients where they viewed me more as just “the writer,” and clients who enjoy that I’m invested in their success. I definitely prefer the latter. It’s SO much more fulfilling.

Today, I make a really great living as a writer and I set my own schedule.

Since meeting Julie, I’ve written six books in six unique industries, all for authors with distinct voices. Next year, I plan to write six more. The year after, my goal is to write two a quarter. I’ve only been in this business for two years, and I’m already competing with writers with decades of experience. This is what happens when an expert like Julie shares with you the systems, processes, and secrets they’ve uncovered over their career.

Under Julie’s guidance, I’ve become a better writer. But equally important, I’ve learned the business of ghostwriting. She will teach you how to find clients, manage projects, and publish professional books. And she’s actually there for you. Unlike most courses, Julie offers open offices hours, where you can get one-on-one feedback that is specific to you and focused on your personal goals.

Today, I make a really great living as a writer and I set my own schedule. I work with highly successful entrepreneurs in the morning and am free to ride my mountain bike in the afternoon. I take time off whenever I want, I work whenever I want, and I have the flexibility to work from my laptop from anywhere in the world.

And all of that is because of Julie.
